Welcome

Welcome to my page for my family!

My husband Ross and I (Sara) met online in 1995, fell in love in 1996, met in 'real life' in 1997, and got married and had our first child in 1998. Just a bit of a whirlwind romance ;-) Add to this that I (Sara) am from the USA, and Ross is from the UK, which made everything rather difficult.

Ross and I were married on February 27, 1998 in Wisconsin, USA. We then moved to England within about two weeks of our marriage. Our first son, Toby was born on September 18, 1998.

As a family, we went through a very difficult period. I had post-natal depression, but didn't understand it or know what was happening. We also didn't have any money to meet our necessities. Eventually things got better though....

Enough so that we planned to get pregnant again in 2001. And, as always, I got pregnant very quickly once the decision had been made. We had our special little girl, Chloe on January 26, 2002. Unfortunately, we went through another difficult time as I had post-natal depression again, my husband and I were not getting along, and we found out that my precious baby girl has a rare chromosome disorder called 'Chromosome Ring22' which would impact her development on a global basis.

After we somehow managed to muddle through all of the stress and problems, we decided that our family most likely could not take the strain of having another child. Ross and I were both happy with this decision until the end of 2005, when I decided that I would like another child. I was worried about the post-natal depression, but figured that now that I knew what was going to happen, I could be better prepared. Also, I really, more than anything in the world, wanted to have a chance to enjoy having a baby. I felt that I had missed out with my first two because of everything that had been happening at the time.

Ross again - after a few months - that he would like a baby as well, and off we went! LOL So, Alex was born January 23, 2007, and you know what? Not a tremor of post-natal depression in sight! We also moved to the USA in late 2006 so that Alex is the only one of our three children to have been born in the United States.

So, this is my immediate family, and I love them all dearly!
